Introductory Lesson

Small Group Activities
To the Teacher: Provide follow-up practice to your students.
Although these activities may be used in a variety of ways, try dividing
students into three groups. Organize a rotation during which each group
spends about 20 minutes on each activity, and then moves on to the next.

A. Students' Online Practice
To the Teacher: Level ONE: Below Basic or Basic.
Level TWO: Proficient. Level THREE: Proficient and GATE.

B. Parent or Teacher Led Hands-On Game

especially ELD students, who need additional reinforcement with appositives.

C. Independent Seatwork

(in Microsoft Word.)
The first page contains twelve problems, for all students, that follow-up the Introductory Lesson.
The second page contains more challenging practice for students who are Proficient or GATE.
